Privacy Policy

stroll coach ("stroll", "we", "us") is a Vedic (Jyotish) astrology app. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Account. Your email address (and name, if provided) when you sign in with Apple, Google, or email/password. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication.
- Birth profiles. The name, date, time, and place of birth you enter to compute charts. Stored on your device and, when you are signed in, synced to your account in our cloud database (Firebase Firestore).
- Location. The city you set, used to compute local timings (pañchāṅgam). Stored with your account.
- Conversations & journal. Your Delve chats and journal notes, stored on your device and synced to your account.
- Newsletter. If you opt in, your email is used to send occasional updates about stroll coach.
- Analytics. Anonymous, privacy-safe usage events that contain no personal or birth data, used to improve the app. You can opt out in Settings → Privacy; if you opt out, we collect none.
How we use it
- To compute and display your charts, timings, and personalised guidance.
- To power the Delve chat and AI features. Your chart and questions are sent to a trusted third-party AI service to generate responses; this is processed transiently to answer you and is not used to identify you.
- To sync your data across your devices.
- To send the monthly newsletter, if you opted in.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We use service providers only to run the app: Firebase (Google) for sign-in and data storage; a third-party AI provider for the chat and insight features; and Apple for in-app purchases. They process data only to provide these services on our behalf.
Security & retention
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in access-controlled cloud storage. We retain your data while your account is active.
Your choices & rights
- Edit or delete your profiles, chats, and journal notes any time in the app.
- To delete your account and associated data, email us at the address below.
- Opt out of analytics in Settings → Privacy. Unsubscribe from the newsletter via the email footer or by contacting us.
Children
stroll coach is not directed to children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your region), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; the effective date above will change accordingly.
